China will not reach any agreement or consensus with the US concerning N.Korea, No matter in a clandestine or public way.  China Slaps itself on its own face by doing so, because it is the global fact that china is N. Korea's only polictical ally.  By doing so, china lost its last straw of political and international credibility in the world, meaning that you can sacrifice your political ally for no reasons, what else you can't discard?

At this critical moment, China should pay its responsibility or receive the consequences.  The possible option to avoid the war on korea peninsula is that China persuades Kim Jong-un to step down and China and the US provide Kim Jong-un and its relatives personal safety.  

Any way, it is china's best interests to initiate the suggestions and process concerning the korea peninsula.
