Subject: A petition to dismiss Simon Hou as councillor of Central Ward

Dear Lord Mayor Verschoor:

As you may know that there has been a horrible assault on a young woman worker at a Gouger business on 29.01.2021 while the victim tried to get back the unpaid (and also underpaid) wages.

Simon Hou, as a close friend of the attacker and the relevant business owner, had made a number of inappropriate statements/ speeches in the Chinese social media. In those statements/ speeches, Simon Hou showed little sympathy on the victim, made no condemnation on the unacceptable violence and salary theft, and attempted to mediate for a private settlement outside the formal legal process.

Simon Hou's inappropriate behaviour has spark a widespread fury among the Chinese Australian community in Adelaide. We hereby make a petition to the Adelaide City Council to dismiss Simon Hou as councillor of Central Ward.

每个贴都刷，有意思吗。大家就是想知道Gavin背后得靠山是谁，仗着谁的势那么嚣张不知悔改。这么简单道理不懂？

我觉的，侯议员也许表达不够谨慎，但也没有为对方洗白吧！首先联系不到当事女生，只好联系打人者。阿德莱德那么小，作为议员，认识人多很正常。他给打人者说洗不白，要勇于面对自己犯下的错，不存在包庇对方。现在要投诉，感觉有点过了。Hou议员在疫情期间，也为大家办实事。谁能无过。他完全当时没有必要回应，给自己惹麻烦。大家现在应该帮助留学生避免压榨，帮助受害女生才是现在的最重要事情。
