提问： TR 使用国内驾照和NAATI翻译件的时间限制

本人495签证，目前TR身份。根据SA政府网站的信息（http://www.sa.gov.au/subject/Transport,+travel+and+motoring/Motoring/Interstate+and+international+motorists/International+motorists/Driving+with+an+overseas+licence），再加上年底就能拿PR，就想等到拿了PR后再开始申请SA驾照。可是最近听说有有位TR在SA生活超过1年，持国内驾照和翻译件驾驶被罚款。有哪位知道或经历过类似情况的吗？谢谢答复。

以下是SA政府网站关于持海外驾照的规定：
Driving with an overseas licence
If you are visiting from overseas, or you've recently moved here permanently, make sure that you are driving legally.

New permanent residents or citizens must apply for a licence and register your vehicle in South Australia within three months of arrival.

If you are not a permanent resident and you hold a current foreign driver's licence you may drive a vehicle of the same class in South Australia.

If you are working on a current temporary visa and your foreign licence expires, you must apply for a new licence in South Australia.

To drive using your foreign licence you must also hold a current international driving permit unless your foreign licence is written in English or accompanied by an approved English translation.

You must not be disqualified from driving in any country.

You must carry your licence (and English translation or international driving permit) at all times while driving, and produce it to police on request. You may also be required to produce your temporary visa as evidence of temporary residential status.

Service SA 跟一些 Transport SA 的人也不清楚的. 網站的資料也stated你可以開車.

25—Exemptions from duty to hold licence, learner's permit or particular class of licence
7) A person may drive a motor home on roads in this State without holding a driver's licence under the Act if—
(a)        the person holds a foreign licence, written in English or accompanied by an English translation, authorising the person to drive a motor vehicle with a GVM not exceeding 3.5 tonnes; or
(b)        the person holds—
(i)        a foreign licence authorising the person to drive a motor vehicle with a GVM not exceeding 3.5 tonnes; and
(ii)        an international driving permit.

8) However, subregulation (7) does not apply if—
(a)he person is disqualified from holding or obtaining an interstate licence in any State or Territory of the Commonwealth; or
(b)the person is disqualified from holding or obtaining a foreign licence in any country; or
(c)the person has resided in this State for a continuous period of more than 3 months and is a permanent resident or citizen of Australia; or
(d)the person's foreign licence only authorises the person to drive a motor bike, motor trike, moped, motorised wheelchair or other vehicle that is not a motor car; or
(e)a notice under subregulation (9) is in force in relation to the person.

到底能不能开呢。

不知道自己理解的是否正确，从Transport Department网站和Happy_Joe提供的Motor Vehicles Regulations 1996看，TR 使用国内驾照和NAATI翻译件开车是没有问题的。有经验的请指教。

    是可以开的，但是你的驾照需在有效期内，另外你现在还不是这里的PR或者是公民就可以了。2楼给的信息已经很全了。

这样看来,那位被罚款的TR应该去上诉，要回不合理的罚款。
