请教一个关于交车辆注册费的问题

我打算明年2月回国3个月，5月回来。我的车2月正好注册费到期，我可不可以把车停在家里不开，也不交注册费，等我回来后，从五月开始交注册费？ 谢谢~

可以！！！只要停在家里就可以！！！不要放在马路上！！！否则councile会罚你的！明年你会来的时候重新买就可以了！！！只不过要负21元钱。

有一个时间限制，具体的是多少天可以叫happy joe大虾查一下，这个时间内都没有问题

Yes, you can, but you cannot drive that car until rego approved again.

There will be options of 30 days, less than 90days (option a and b) and more than 90 days
30 days = normal fee
less than 90days = normal fee but date started at the previous expired licence date
OR
less than90days = higher fee
more than 90 days = higher fee

What if my registration has expired?

NOTE: IT IS AN OFFENCE TO DRIVE AN UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLE. It is also an offence to drive a motor vehicle that does not display a current registration label, unless:


the payment of registration fees for the vehicle were made by mail, telephone or Internet; and
the registered owner is awaiting the receipt of the registration label and certificate; and
not more than 30 days have elapsed since the date of payment was made by the above mentioned methods.
Registration expired for less than 90 days

If your vehicle registration has expired for less than 90 days, you have the option when renewing to:-

Pay a higher administration fee, which will allow the registration to commence from the payment date;
or
Pay the standard administration fee and the registration will commence from the previous expiry date.

Registration expired for over 90 days

If the vehicle registration has expired in excess of 90 days, a higher administration fee applies. The registration will commence from the payment date for the period you nominate.

谢谢happy_joe ，不过这个网页没写higher administration fee要多少钱，如果比三个月标准收费要少，就可以停在家回来再交了。如果还高的话，那还不如乖乖交3个月的注册费了。

15 dollars is the extra admin fee.
