Hi all, I am restarting the Advanced English classes I ran for a few years a little while back. They will start this coming Tuesday.
If you would like further Advanced English instruction on strategies and resources for high-level English (ISLPR 3+ to level 6, IELTS 6.5 to 9), and would like two hours weekly practice with a highly experienced teacher who is familiar with the issues of second language learning, then come along!
How is your English going? do you still have bugs that you wish to "iron out"? We can work on articles, phrasal verbs, idioms, slang, high level vocab, better pronunciation, writing style, certain genres - whatever you wish.....
There is no specific course format - it will depend on what YOU say you want, but no doubt we will explore high-level writing, reading, discussion, listening, and socio-critical thinking. Many on-line resources will be demonstrated and employed so that you can progress faster independently outside of the classroom.
Prices are cheap - half the cost of the next cheapest English course anywhere else - $6.00 per hour. (Try Adelaide Uni English for Professionals course at $40.00 per hour, if you like..!) I manage to hold down costs as I am my own secretary, accountant, manager, and cleaner ... literally.... and don't have the stifling bureaucracy that overwhelms other schools.
If you'd like to join the classes, they are on Tuesdays at 9am till 11am, at 95 Currie St (almost opposite TAFE), second floor, Room 208 - end of the corridor on the right.
